Operation Thingamajig
A downloadable game
Operation Thingamajig is a comedy roguelike TTRPG where a team of ACF personnel are sent out into the world to find and contain randomized supernatural anomalies created by the mysterious Thingamajig. Normally, a proper, trained, task force would be sent on the job— but they're not available right now (it's a long story involving man-eating soccer balls and a cursed dollhouse). This leaves anyone willing to risk their life for a bonus check to take their place. Along the way the team will have to fulfill requirements from corporate sponsors, balance a budget, uncover the abilities of each anomaly, and somehow contain them safely while using supernaturally defective equipment.
The setting. Operation Thingamajig takes place in the world of APRA: Anomalous Parks & Recreation Areas. APRA is a contemporary setting much like our modern world— only with anomalous entities and events existing within it. The primary organization standing between the unnatural and the natural is the ACF— the Anomalous Containment Foundation— who have, unfortunately, run into a spot of financial trouble. This has lead them to adopt corporate sponsorships, and to begin the APRA initiative; which finds contained anomalous locations deemed "safe enough" and turns them into public attractions. APRA attractions include things such as Beyond Park, where visitors can experience the mysteries of death and return (relatively) safe afterwards, and the Museum of You where each visitor finds a museum dedicated to their history.
Operation Thingamajig is played much like a traditional TTRPG, with a team of 1-4 personnel (players) and a manager (gamemaster, MG for short) leading them along their missions. At its core, all you need to play is 1d6 per player— including the MG, paper or a digital equivalent, and your imagination. (If you are lacking the latter, you may substitute it with a particularly convincing lemon.)
- Departments determine what skills and attributes your character will have, choose from Operations, Containment, Investigations, R&D, Executive, or Lemming.
- Sponsors are funding your missions— and will require extra tasks to be completed for each one. Each will give you a bonus objective for an extra reward, as well. Budget well enough and you'll have money left over for the next mission— or to improve your own skills and decorate your
- Equipment provided by the best ACF money can buy— Cheepe Co. who provide the cheapest products, at the cost of possessing supernatural defects.
- Phases are distinct periods within each game; Briefing, Investigating, Tracking, and Containing— each with their own goals and challenges. Learn what you can about the anomaly before encountering it to ensure you're properly equipped.
- Thousands of possible anomalies with different bodies, abilities, and weaknesses.

Game looks really fun! A few typos:
Page 6 - "you are note their" no E in not
Page 6 - "dollhouse- and" hyphen should be comma
Page 6 - "available- and" remove hyphen
Page 8 - "department, and" remove comma
Page 8 - "from, Operations" colon rather than comma would be better
Page 9 - "HP- eager to collect" collect what?
Page 9 - "disciplines;" colon rather than semicolon.
Ran out of time to look for more this morning. Holler if this was helpful and want more.
Dangit. Thanks for catching those!
