The Accessible Design Survival Guide is a short zine that explains basic, key concepts and guidelines for designing with accessibility in mind.

This zine covers various topics including color contrast, astigmatism, and text layout, alongside advice on how to make your designs easily readable-- whether you're making a zine, website, or poster.

---

If I've missed any major topics, or there are bits you'd like me to cover in future editions of this or companion zines, please leave a comment!

I am already planning to make a web accessibility zine in the future!

Just gave this a glance through, some awesome starting points on accessibility, and I look forward to more editions! Did notice a small grammar error where "that "is written twice: "However, there are other vision impairments that can make that that text difficult to read."

Great! Most important basis are there! Nice done.

Also great recommandations on your 'Further reading' page! I recommand you to add links at the end of paragraphs, it will be easier for some people using voice readers :)

Mind elaborating on the paragraph-end-link thing? What should those links link to?

Hi, I'm talking about the links you added as titles, before each paragraph, it could be handier if there were atvthe end or if you recommand to people to add links at the end of paragraphs so people using voice readers can more easily say to their computer/phone to click on them After having listening for your text

Oooooh okay! That makes a lot of sense! I'll add that note to the list for future editions/zines!

As for editing this one-- would it work if I added a link at the end in the description paragraphs just as the word "link" (with an embedded link)?

That would be perfect! 👍

Done! Thank you for sharing! As noted, I added this to my notes for future editions! I'll either append this with a PDF section or do a PDF accessibility zine down the line. (Or a catch-all "digital accessibility" one)

An easy to understand guide on design for accessibility with clear examples. Highly recommend!

Thank you for your rec!

Neat zine! It is very well explained with simple terms so everyone can understand it. It explains the important things of design quite well and I love all the extra links for learning more at the end of it! It’s a great way of either starting to learn about accessibility or having a refresh of the basic concepts.

Thank you Cato!

This is great stuff, a really good resource that I’ll definitely recommend when fellow designers want accessibility guidance!

Thank you so much!
